At Lumina Esthetics, appropriate treatment modalities and restorative elements aren’t reserved as upgrades or added for an additional charge. When something is well suited to your skin and appropriate within the treatment, it will be complimentary incorporated as part of your experience.
This approach allows treatment decisions to be guided by what will best support your skin, rather than by an add-on menu—removing added pressure or decision-making from your experience.

Each microneedling treatment begins with thorough skin preparation, including multiple cleansing steps with products selected according to your skin’s condition and sensitivities to appropriately prepare the skin for treatment.
Prior to microneedling, a topical numbing cream is applied to support your comfort during the treatment while you relax under LED light therapy. During this time, restorative care such as gentle hair brushing or hand and arm massage is incorporated, allowing the preparation period to become part of the treatment experience rather than simply time spent waiting.
Throughout the treatment, an FDA-cleared professional microneedling device is used, with device settings carefully adjusted based on the treatment area, the concern being addressed, your skin’s response, and individual treatment goals.
Following treatment, you’ll receive a small hyaluronic acid sample to support hydration and comfort during the first 24 hours, along with detailed post-treatment care instructions to guide you through the initial recovery period.
Lumina Esthetics is located within Hermitage Farm Center for Healing Integrative Health Clinic, providing a restorative setting for advanced skin treatments within a community centered on whole-person wellbeing.

Microneedling, also known as collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive skin treatment designed to support the skin’s natural renewal processes. During treatment, controlled microchannels are created within the skin, initiating its natural repair response.
This response supports the production of collagen and elastin—proteins that play an important role in the skin’s structure, firmness, and resilience. As the skin continues its natural renewal and remodeling process, collagen production and visible improvements can continue to develop progressively over the weeks and months following treatment.

Microneedling can help address a range of skin concerns by supporting gradual renewal and remodeling within the skin. Benefits may include:
For most clients, I recommend beginning with a series of 3–4 microneedling treatments spaced approximately 4–6 weeks apart. After the initial series, we’ll reassess your progress and determine whether additional treatments would be beneficial based on your skin, concerns, and goals.
Once desired results are achieved, I generally recommend 1–2 treatments per year for maintenance.
Treatments may be booked individually for $235 or as a package of three for $605, offering a $100 savings.
An over-the-counter topical numbing cream is applied prior to microneedling to support your comfort throughout the treatment. You should still expect to feel some sensation, which may range from mild prickling or pressure to temporary discomfort depending on the area being treated and your individual sensitivity. Areas such as the forehead may feel more sensitive than others.
While the numbing cream is taking effect, you’ll relax under LED light therapy while restorative care such as gentle hair brushing or hand and arm massage is incorporated, helping make this preparation time a relaxing part of the overall treatment experience.
Downtime varies from person to person, but it is normal to experience redness and a feeling of warmth or tightness following treatment, similar to a moderate sunburn. These effects are typically most noticeable during the first 24–48 hours and may persist for several days depending on your skin and how it responds to treatment.
Temporary sensitivity, mild swelling, or pinpoint bleeding may also occur, followed by some dryness or light flaking as the skin recovers. You’ll receive detailed pre- and post-treatment care instructions before your appointment to help you prepare for treatment and appropriately care for your skin throughout the recovery period.
Microneedling results develop gradually as the skin moves through its natural renewal and remodeling process. Some clients may begin noticing improvements in the weeks following treatment, with changes related to collagen and elastin production continuing to develop and build over the following months.
The timing and extent of visible improvement will vary based on your skin, the concerns being addressed, and the number of treatments completed.
Microneedling is reserved for established clients so I have the opportunity to become familiar with your skin before moving forward with an advanced treatment. During an initial facial appointment, I can assess your skin’s condition, discuss your concerns and treatment goals, and review your current skincare routine to determine whether microneedling is an appropriate treatment option for you.
An appropriate home-care routine is also an important part of preparing the skin for microneedling and supporting it throughout the recovery process. When needed, I’ll recommend specific products or ingredients to incorporate prior to treatment so your skin is appropriately prepared before beginning a microneedling series.
Microneedling can be an appropriate treatment option for many clients, but it may not be suitable for everyone or at every point in time. Certain skin conditions, active irritation or infection, medications, health considerations, or recent treatments may require microneedling to be postponed or avoided.
Because candidacy is individual, your skin and relevant history will be assessed before treatment to determine whether microneedling is appropriate for you. This individualized assessment is also one of the reasons microneedling at Lumina is reserved for established clients.
Each Lumina experience is thoughtfully personalized and approached with intention at every step. Professional-grade skincare and advanced modalities are selected according to your skin’s condition, individual needs, and treatment goals, then adapted based on how your skin responds in real time. Restorative care is also woven throughout each experience, allowing the body space to relax and soften while supporting a deeper sense of wellbeing.
