Chemical Peel Treatment

Return Clients Only $113+

Each chemical peel treatment begins with thorough skin preparation, including a double cleanse with products selected according to your skin’s condition and sensitivities to appropriately prepare the skin for treatment.

The specific peel is thoughtfully selected from a range of professional-grade formulations based on your skin’s condition, concerns, and treatment goals. The treatment is then further customized according to how your skin responds in real time, allowing the approach to remain both targeted and responsive throughout the experience.

While the peel is working, comfort and restorative elements will be incorporated based on the treatment and your individual needs. A handheld fan may be used to support comfort, while restorative care such as gentle hair brushing, scalp massage, or hand and arm massage will be incorporated depending on timing—allowing the processing period to remain an intentional part of the overall treatment experience rather than simply time spent waiting.

Following the peel, soothing and hydrating products are applied to support the skin as it begins the recovery and renewal process. You’ll also receive a post-treatment recovery kit along with detailed care instructions to help support your skin throughout the initial recovery period.

Lumina Esthetics is located within Hermitage Farm Center for Healing Integrative Health Clinic, providing a restorative setting for advanced skin treatments within a community centered on whole-person wellbeing.

What is a Chemical Peel?

A chemical peel is a professional exfoliation treatment that uses a carefully selected chemical solution to create controlled exfoliation within the skin. Depending on the formulation and depth of the peel, the treatment works at varying levels to encourage cellular turnover and support the skin’s natural renewal process.

Which Chemical Peel Is Right for Me?

Rather than asking you to determine which peel is right for you, you can simply book the Chemical Peel service knowing your treatment will be tailored accordingly. All peel formulations are offered within the same pricing structure, allowing treatment decisions to be guided by your skin’s needs rather than by different service tiers or price points.

Frequent Chemical Peel Q&A

What does a chemical peel feel like?

The sensation experienced during a chemical peel can vary depending on the specific peel formulation and strength used, number of applications, whether the skin has been adequately prepped, and your individual skin response. You may experience tingling, warmth, or a sense of increasing activity or intensity as the peel is applied and begins working. Your skin response and comfort will be monitored throughout treatment, and a handheld fan may be used to help ease stronger sensations when needed.

Will my skin peel after the treatment?

While some chemical peels may result in visible peeling or flaking, others may produce little peeling. The amount of peeling can vary based on the specific peel formulation and strength used, number of applications, your skin’s condition, and your individual response.

When peeling does occur, it may range from mild dryness or light flaking to more noticeable peeling over several days. Visible peeling is not required for a chemical peel to be effective.

Following your treatment, you’ll receive detailed post-treatment care instructions along with a complimentary skincare recovery kit to help support your skin throughout the peeling and recovery process.

How many chemical peel treatments will I need, and how often?

For many clients, I recommend beginning with a series of 3–4 chemical peel treatments. The timing between treatments will vary based on the specific peel being used, your skin’s condition and response, and the concerns being addressed, but treatments are generally spaced approximately 3–6 weeks apart.

In many cases, the peel strength and/or number of applications will be gradually increased over the course of a series as your skin becomes accustomed to treatment. We’ll reassess your skin throughout the process and adjust your treatment plan accordingly.

Chemical peels may be booked individually for $130 or as a package of three for $340, offering a $50 savings.

Are chemical peels ever included in a facial?

Yes. Superficial-to-light chemical peels may be incorporated into a Luxe Facial when appropriate for your skin and treatment goals. In addition to providing enhanced exfoliation and skin renewal, this gives me an opportunity to assess how your skin responds to a more introductory peel before determining whether it’s appropriate to progress to a more advanced peel.

Light-to-medium peels are more advanced than those typically incorporated into a Luxe Facial and are reserved for the dedicated Chemical Peel service. Because this service may involve additional applications or passes when the skin responds appropriately, beginning with a more introductory peel helps establish whether your skin is well suited to progress to this level of treatment.
